Galveston Island Wine Festival

Galveston Island Wine Festival is moving to Moody Gardens in 2023! In addition to the festival, visitors can experience the Rainforests of the World, journey to new depths in the newly renovated Aquarium Pyramid, explore new worlds in the MG 3D and 4D Special Effects Theater, dive deep in 20,000 Leagues: An Interactive Adventure, and more!

Galveston Family Beach Challenge at East Beach

The challenge will transform a portion of Galveston East Beach into a gigantic obstacle course, allowing families to compete in life-size versions of classic games. The course includes 14 stations for kids and adults with eight new stations this year, including a bean bag game, a life-size battleship game, limbo, volley balloon, “beam” bag, giant Connect Four, and more. 

The event is free and participants will have a chance to win the grand prize of a $500 gift card plus tickets to popular Galveston attractions.

Mercury Chamber Orchestra presents Mozart By Moonlight featuring some of the composer’s most popular music. This performance will be accompanied by visual elements that will enhance the audience’s viewing and listening experience.

Experience a dreamy night under the stars filled with the melodious sounds of Mozart, including “A Little Night Music,” one of the most popular works of classical music of all time.

Third Annual Texas Latino/a/x Contemporary Dance Festival on Labor Day Weekend

The Third Annual Texas Latino/a/x Contemporary Dance Festival returns for an exciting one-night showcase of celebrated Latinx choreographers from around the Lone Star State. The largest convening of dance makers of the Latinx diaspora in the Mid-America region, this year’s roster includes both emerging and established artists, as well as several first-time participants.

Heroes Again Boot Camp on Labor Day

Heroes Again is a partnership program with Fitmix Yoga & Latin Fitness Studio developed to offer a safe space for fitness and mental health. Our Heroes are veterans, community leaders, and fitness instructors. 

Everyone is welcome to participate. We are coming together to open a safe, fun, and energized space to have sincere conversations about mental health struggles, coping mechanisms, real-life stories, and resources. The goal is to get physically and mentally stronger together while we build an amazing community!
