Join the global campaign to end water scarcity. The Walk for Water event raises awareness of people who don’t have access to clean drinking water worldwide. All of the money raised at the event goes to the nonprofit Water Mission, which will use it to develop disaster relief and developing country water solutions. Participants will walk 1.5 miles down Buffalo Bayou carrying a bucket to a water source, fill it, and then walk back to the starting point, imitating the journey that many people undertake throughout the world to bring clean water to their homes.

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday where families and friends gather to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who are no longer living.

Discovery Green’s fifth annual festival will feature the movie Coco at 3 pm, followed by live performances and music. Visitors are invited to place images or recuerdos of their loved ones on the community altar. Families will enjoy hands-on art activities, artist demos and vendors.??
