McDonald’s Houston: Veterans and current military can get a free Extra Value Meal November 11 for Veterans Day just by showing their military ID at Houston-area McDonald’s. Dine-in only.

Grimaldi’sPizzeria: 15 percent off for all military November 10-11.

FREE SERVICES & EVENTS in HOUSTON

Anheuser-Busch — The Houston Brewery and Tour Center will offer a number of freebies/discounts November 1-19 to honor those who served:

  • Complimentary brewery tours for veterans, active military, first responders, police and firefighters and their families
  • Veterans and active military members will be presented with a custom-made commemorative Budweiser military coin
  • A 25 percent discount on all items in the gift shop for veterans, active military, first responders, police, firefighters and all those who protect us

City of Houston: The City of Houston is hosting its annual Veteran’s Day Salute November 11. The morning begins at 8 am with the 9/11 Heroes Run, which was postponed due to Harvey. Houston City Hall also is offering a Veteran’s Job Fair and Health Fair beginning at 8 am. The ceremony begins at 10 am on the steps of City Hall with a 21-gun salute.

Great Clips: Active and retired military can get a free haircut November 11, or pick up a card to use anytime before the end of the year. Folks who get a haircut can pick up a free haircut card to share with a veteran or active military personnel.

Hermann Park Railroad: Veterans and active duty military personnel can take a free ride on the Hermann Park Railroad November 11, as a “thank you” for serving our country. Train rides are open 10 am – 5 pm, weather permitting. Check in at the Kinder Train Station podium with military ID.

Houston Humane Society: Pets for Vets allows active and retired military to adopt a pet for free at Houston Humane Society November 6-13. Located at 14700 Almeda.

Remington College: Veterans can get a free service in November at the Webster and Greenspoint campus salons. This includes a haircut, shampoo and set thermal style, makeup application or facial.
